Bașchioi is a decorative sandstone that can be used both indoor and outdoor as a decorative plate for floors and marble cladding, socles for buildings, landscaping, fences.

Baschioi limestone quarry operated in the opened site in the mountain side of the village Nicholas Balcescu Dobrogea, Tulcea Country, in a perimeter of 11 hectares. The beige blocks are suitable both for cutting in tiles and carving products.

Baschioi limestone is a sedimentary rock formed by deposition of carbonate and reef fragments, cemented with carbonate cement. The beige background color has a natural looking, and in terms of physical and mechanical charateristics are very good resistance to wear.
