Marble & Granite, countertops, quartz
The “after.” We replaced the old granite countertops with Churchill Soapstone, which is quarried in Virginia, USA. Known for its beautiful aesthetic qualities, durability and thermal properties, Churchill Soapstone is an elegant and sophisticated choice for architectural and interior design elements used for both exterior and interior applications.
Soapstone slabs are great for use as a countertop or around a fireplace. A hot pot can be placed directly on a soapstone countertop without concern of burning the surface. Since it is composed primarily of talc, the acids in foods used for everyday cooking will not etch or stain this stone. Soapstone can scratch; therefore, using a cutting board is required. Due to its density, soapstone is non-porous, naturally antibacterial, and stain resistant.
