Our Vancouver Island white marble has a classic look all its own. Pure white marble is the result of metamorphism of a very pure (silicate-poor) limestone or dolomite protolith.

The characteristic swirls and veins of many colored marble varieties are usually due to various mineral impurities such as clay, silt, sand, iron oxides, or chert which were originally present as grains or layers in the limestone. Some of the patterns in our white marble bring a lovely texture to end products such as the solid sink to the left.

Our Vancouver Island White Marble is a wonderful surface for kitchen counter tops and because we can supply blocks to our finishing plant, we are able to cut thicker slabs for custom requirements.

As you can see from the picture below, we used these thicker slabs to make the tiles and steps in this unusual backyard pool.

The contrasting values with the Black Carmanah Marble adds a striking feeling to a unique and dramatic setting. In order to really comprehend the extraordinary features of this marble, one has to see it in person to fully appreciate it.
