Turkey and some other countries have cream and beige travertine, but Iran has the best quality and premium grade of travertine.
Travertine is a banded, compact variety of limestone commonly formed along streams, where there are waterfalls or around hot or cold springs.
The holes in the travertine are created by carbon dioxide bubbles, which are trapped when the stone forms.
This gives it an open texture, which can be filled or left in its natural state. The surface of travertine stones has small and irregular cavities that can be filled or used naturally.
