Carmen Red Granite Flamed Stonelite Honeycomb Backed Panels

A rough, textured finish that is achieved by exposing the stone to intense heat and immediate cooling. When heated and cooled, the crystals in the stone pop. The surface is very porous. Not all stones can be flamed; they must have the correct crystal structure.
StoneLite® panels can be produced from almost any stone provided that slabs are available in large enough sizes. We stock 14 standard stones, but they are a small representation of the wide range of natural granite, marble, limestone, travertines, sandstones, and slates available from Stone Panels, Inc. The standard sized panel is 4 ft. by 8 ft. (122 x 244 cm), and we are capable of fabricating up to 5 ft. by 10 ft. stone panels with polished, honed, antiqued, sandblasted, bush-hammered, tooled, or flamed finishes. We also have panels available cut-to-size and with special fabrications. More durable than solid stone, these StoneLite® panels combine the high strength and low weight advantages of aluminum-honeycomb reinforcing with the beauty of natural stone, providing 15/16″ (24 mm) or 9/16″ (14 mm) thick panels weighing only 3.3 lbs. per sq. ft. (16 kg per sq. m), about the same as 1/4″ thick glass.
