OKITE® can be used in a variety of commercial environment including hotel and leisure, food service, education, retail, healthcare, entertainment and corporate spaces. Applications include flooring, wall cladding, work surfaces, reception counters, windowsills, bar tops, vanity tops, wet areas, tabletops, sales counters and lab tables.
In relation to its physical-mechanical properties, the product is:
• single-layer, hence compact;
• resistant to stains and the elements;
• easy to lay and easy to maintain;
• resistant to compression and impact, especially suitable for high footfall fl oors;
• natural and environmentally-friendly, suitable for bathroom and kitchen tops;
• aesthetically pleasing, as it is available in a wide variety of colours.
Below is a list of its most innovative characteristics, which makes it possible to overcome the limitations of more traditional products:
1. size: large slabs can be produced;
2. weight: the minimum thickness of 1.3 cm. enables a signifi cant reduction in weight when used in constructions;
3. mechanical resistance: it is able to withstand bending and strong impact;
4. resistance to major chemical aggressions: the product, made with organic binding materials and hard stone aggregates,
is acid resistant and can therefore be successfully applied in the production of kitchen and bathroom tops, counters and bars;
5. aesthetic consistency: the automatic manufacturing process ensures colour consistency for any product quantity required;
6. customisation of the aesthetic design: products can be designed and manufactured with different aesthetic and colour variations, according to the specifi c requirements of designers and architects.
