Hydrophobic and oleophobic impregnation for mineral porous surfaces

APP HD H is a water based hydrophobic impregnating system. It forms a microscopic layer right under the surface that repels water and dirt. This way the surface keeps its original appearance and stays vapour permeable. APP HD H is active after 24 hours and after 7 days it is fully functional. APP HD H is a permanent surface protection system that decreases the surface tension. In this way water, grease, oil, paint, resin and chewing gum can not adhere to the surface and can easily be removed. APP HD H can be used on all mineral substrates like natural stone, concrete and brick, but also on existing mineral paint systems and wood.

Shake well before use. Surface must be free of dirt, oil and silicones before application. Substrates need to be wind-dry before application of APP HD H. Larger surfaces can be treated using an airless unit or low pressure spray gun with flat nozzle. Smaller surfaces can be treated using a roller or brush. APP HD H needs to be applied until the surface is saturated. It is important to remove excess product with a cloth or before it dries. After drying APP HD H can not be removed easily and will leave stains. Application is always in 1 layer. On strong porous substrates wet-in-wet application is adviced to avoid missing a spot.

Application

Stir thoroughly before application. Surface must be wind-dry before application. Minimum temperature 5°C

Spread rate

3-5m²/liter, less on low porous substrates, to achieve the required film

Drying time

Depending on weather conditions, walkable when dry, optimal function after one week

Apply by brush or roller or spray. If spraying protect surrounding areas from contamination.
