The Kolibri-SB-K machine is a professional equipment designed for longitudinal sawing of cores of any composition and is widely used in petrophysical laboratories and core storages.
The cutting tool is a diamond blade with a diameter of 450 mm. Adjustable stepless feed rate and spindle rotation frequency allow you to select the optimal cutting mode for any type of stone and cut in one pass, eliminating cracking and galling of the sample.
The pneumatic clamping device, equipped with a displacement mechanism, reliably, without damage, fixes the core with a diameter of 50 to 120 mm and allows you to set the cutting geometry from 1/2 to 1/3 of the core diameter, and modern linear guides ensure high accuracy and smoothness of the cut.
The machine uses a closed cooling cycle, but also provides a dry cut option. Water is supplied directly to the cutting tool from a cascade bath, which serves as a sludge settler.
Reliability and simplicity of design make the machine durable and undemanding to the qualifications of the operator.
