ADVANTAGES OF A CABLE SAW:
1) you can cut walls of any thickness from one side (for instance, a window opening in a 1m-thick wall on the third floor);
2) over-cuts do not occur (when cutting with a disc, in order to make a full cut, you need cut half a disc diameter more, thereby causing hazardous damage to the top of the opening);
3) cutting is quiet;
4) you can cut in places where there is little room, or it is not possible to attach a wall saw (for instance, when sawing stone posts, boulders, supporting bolts, etc.);
5) the work is faster than a disc saw;
6) is especially suitable for cutting rectangular ventilation openings in thick walls;
7) you can cut large areas off a floor, for instance, to cut machine foundations off a factory floor;
8) you can cut at an angle.
CABLE SAW TECHNOLOGY
On a cable saw, the cutting part is a steel cable, which is covered with diamond dust. The diamond cable is connected around the place to be cut and the saw starts to pull the cable at a speed of 25m/s, while tightening it at the same time.
To make rectangular openings in walls, first holes are made in the corners of the opening, the cable is connected through these holes and the machine pulls the cable through the wall.
