These pads with their foam risers are VERY flexible. They allow you to sand around curves getting into tight spots. Run it on a drill or slow grinder at 2,500 rpm.

For getting a surface smooth try a block of green s.c. stone. Water down the stone and create a green slurry to rub the irregularities out.
