･Dry polishing pads do not require water to cool the pads. Therefore, this dry pad may be a better choice for on-site polishing and installation. However, they do cause dust in the environment. When dry polishing, always wear appropriate protective equipment, the most important of which is dust or a breathing mask.

･Dry diamond polishing pads need to be run at low speeds because they generate heat during the polishing process and hence friction. Higher rpm can create enough heat to burn the stone permanently to damage the stone. Another danger is that the disc can fly off the pad and can be very dangerous if you hit someone. So never use it above the rated speed.

A: They can be used with a low-speed grinder or variable speed grinder. They are also good to use wet or with a polishing compound. Optimal speed 3,500- 4,000 RPM. Since the pads are backed with velcro you need to have a backup pad that fits your Arbor. We provide all kinds of backing pad that you can buy with the diamond pads.
