Polycrystalline Solid/Carbide Backed Cbn Tools

PCBN is produced by high pressure high temperature(HPHT) sintering of cubic boron nitride(CBN) with a binder pahase, and there are mainly two types of binders: metal binder and ceramic binder. CBN shares the very same crystal structure, chemical bond and lattice parameters with diamond , therefore their performance in hardness and strength are quite similar(In hardness, CBN is just next to diamond, while CBN owns better stability in higher temperature (1400°-1800°）. The wear resistance of PCBN exceeds 50 times that of tungsten carbide in cutting applications.

EBNS-6003

Binder: TiN;
CBN content (Vol.%): 50-70%;
Grain size: 2-4μm.
Applications: Applied in fine machining of hardeded steels, such as bearing steel and die steel with medium interruptions at medium to high speed.

EBNS-8725

Binder: Al;
CBN content(Vol.%): 85-90%;
Grain size: 20-30μm.
Applications: Applied in roughing and finishing alloy cast iron and alloy cast steel such as slurry pump, roller and mine machines under demanding environment.

EBNS-9010

Binder: Al;
CBN content（Vol.%): 88-94%;
Grain size: 8-12μm.
Applications: Applied in machining grey cast iron and chilled cast iron with high speed, eg.: engine cylinder and cover, etc.

EBNS-9102

Binder: Al;
CBN content(Vol.%): 85-90%;
Grain size: 1-3μm ；
Applications: Applied in finishing grey cast iron and high temperature alloy such as aero engine at high spped.

EBNS-9335

Binder: Al;
CBN content(Vol.%): 90-95%;
Grain size:30-40μm；
Applications: Aplied in machining wearable alloy cast iron, like breke drum, brake discs, etc. And also for nodular cast iron and power metal alloy at high speed.
