Southern Oregon Soapstone quarry has been mining our exceptional quality sculpture and carving grade soapstone as well as our landscape grade soapstone since 1967. We mine, process and market our top quality, multi-colored sculpting grade soapstone/steatite for many applications. Our soapstone is best used for carving, sculpting, fire places, cookware, cook tops, stoves, Pizza ovens, masonry heaters, Kachelofens, mixing bowls, fireplace liners, BBQ ROCKS, landscaping (because of its beauty and because it does not deteriorate) and so much more. We also mine sculpture grade Chlorite in green and black. Southern Oregon Soapstone is unlike any soapstone that carvers and sculptors will come across.
