Semifriable Brown Fused Aluminia Abrasive

Alomax is a semi friable brown fused aluminium oxide obtained from the fusion of high purity bauxites in electric arc furnace. It presents good toughness and excellent abrasion properties, being recommended for high performance bonded abrasives. It is not classified for physical, health and environmental hazards however it is not recommended a long exposure or inhalation because it can irritate eyes, nose, throat and mucous membranes.

Alomax is not flammable and it is non reactive under normal conditions of use, storage and transport, as well no hazardous decomposition are known. It is not biodegradable and it is insoluble in water.
