Features

RISTOP is a preparation designed to prevent the rise of water and salts on the floors and coatings of marble, granite quartzite, agglomerate and stones in general during the laying phase.
The product has to be applied on the internal part of the tile or slab to be laid, on all sides in direct contact with the installation glues.
RISTOP is compatible with any adhesive used for the laying and in any case it does not af-fect the adhesion. However it is better to carry out a sample before proceeding with big surfaces. Our product solves the problem of arising stains, halos, efflorescences or rust caused by the pres-ence of impurities in the water, due to the dissolution of salts of any kind present both in the stone materials and in the adhesives used for the laying. Due to the rise water these salts come to the surface, staining it.
RISTOP product is clear, odourless, applicable on quartzite, marble, granite, gneiss and ag-glomerates; it is particularly suitable for white marbles and external floorings that are more subject to these problems.

Application procedures

RISTOP is to apply through a roller, brush or spray, uniform, a single layer of product on the substrate part which will be in contact with the laying adhesive.
Let at least 6 hours dry.
The product has to be used pure on very absorbent materials, on the contrary it can be diluted with demineralized water 5% for the use on substrates with limited absorbency.

Yield

The indicative yield is quite variable considering the types of support on which RISTOP can be applied. However, we indicate a yield of 8 to 10 m² / lt.
