Product Description

In depth solent based waterproof product for terracotta, marbles, granites, natural stones, marble and concrete agglomerates

IDROSILAN

In-depth water-repellent product with solvent base for terracotta, marble, granite, natural stones marble agglomerates and cement

APPLICATIONS

IDROSILAN is an in-depth waterproofer with low viscosity based on silanic oligomers mixed with hydrocarbonic solvents with deep penetration capacity both for internal and external use for all the stone materials and all absorbent building materials, such as Terracotta, Natural stones, Marble, Granite, Travertine, Agglomerates, Grits and Cement. IDROSILAN is an in-depth waterproofer which reduces rising damp thus inhibiting formation of saline surface efflorescence. It also reduces water absorption preventing the appearance of wall-pepper, mould and algae. Marks from pollution are repelled making successive cleaning easier. Permeability to vapour is not modified meanwhile IDROSILAN permits good transpiration of treated materials, leaving them protected against atmospheric agents, sunlight and acid rain. The product lasts for five years if it is applied until refusal.

HOW AND WHY TO USE

Dilution: The product should not be diluted.

Application: Once the surface is perfectly clean and dry, IDROSILAN can be applied using a flat brush, a roller o an airless gun at low pressure distributing the product abundantly; one or two rich coats should be applied uniformly, leaving 3-4 hours between each one. However, do not apply the product before the evaporation of the solvent. On vertical surfaces, apply the product avoiding every falling on the support.

PRECAUTIONS

The product should never be applied on surfaces directly exposed to sunlight. Use a test sample to check for any colour changes to the materials to be treated.

COVERAGE

Highly porous natural stone: approx. 10 to 12 litres every 100 sq. m. per coat Natural stone with average porosity: approx. 5 to 10 litres every 100 sq. m per coat Cement: approx.12 to 15 litres every 100 sq. m per coat, according to the absorption capacity of the surface.
