APPLICATIONS

PRIMALAS/92 is a solvent-based liquid product with in-depth antisaltpetre and anti-mildew properties, a water-repellent and indirect consolidating product for both indoor or outdoor surfaces made of natural stone (marble, granite, marble agglomerates, terracotta, cement, exposed brickwork etc.) and for any kind of surface, including those made of cement, where an alkali resistant barrier is required. The product inhibits the absorption of water and the appearance of calcareous efflorescence both on indoor or outdoor floorings, preventing moisture from rising from below, but allowing the surfaces to “breath”. The mentioned in-depth penetration power of PRIMALAS/92 is an essential premise to perform impregnation deep inside and create a hydro-phobic surface barrier against corrosion caused by acid rains. The product protects surfaces against marks of pollution and deposits of chemical agents and inhibits the absorption of water and the formation of mildew and limestone efflorescence. Besides being protected, the surfaces treated with PRIMALAS/92 keeps their permeability to steam. PRIMALAS/92 enables the homogeneous absorption of waxresinous products and paste waxes on indoor surfaces.

HOW TO USE

Dilution: Product should not be diluted.

Application: To clean the marble and natural stone surfaces with suitable detergent. On clean and perfectly dry surface, apply the product with a brush or roller in a regular manner, even impregnating the joints. For applying the product on vertical surfaces, the spray gun system (airless) is recommended in two hands (wet on wet). On lowabsorbing natural stones, such as slate, use only one hand of PRIMALAS / 92. If the product is applied in two hands, as recommended by us, its durability (both indoor and outdoor) is not less than 15-20 years, excluding marine areas and near the sea. Before using the product, always try a sample test on a small surface to check that the material does not change color. Before apply it, it is advisable to always make a sample test on a small portion of surface in order to prevent any unwanted change in colour.

PRECAUTIONS

The product should not be applied on outdoor surfaces exposed to sunlight or during the hottest hours of the day; no rain should be forecast for at least two days following treatment.

Hand-made terracotta: Approx.12/15 lt every 100 sq.m. per coat. Mechanical terracotta: Approx.10/12 lt every 100 sq.m. per coat. Very porous natural stones: Approx. 12/15 lt every 100 sq. m. per coat. Granite and marbles with low absorbency: Approx. 8/10 lt every 100 sq. m. per coat.
